The Lakeshore Excellence Foundation announces its 6th Annual Golf Outing. This outing will be held Monday, August 11, 2008. The outing will be a scramble format with four person teams at Berrien Hills Golf Club - a new location this year! Fun is guaranteed so mark your calendars and start working on that swing!

Fifth Annual Lakeshore Excellence Foundation Golf Outing 2007

Fifth LEF Golf Outing an Annual Success
A hazy, humid, but luckily dry day greeted golfers to the Fifth Annual Lakeshore Excellence Foundation Golf Outing. The outing took place at Lake Michigan Hills GC in Benton Harbor and was not only fun but was financially successful.

A low score of 59 by two teams tied for first place, with the clubhouse playoff awarded to Ken Ankli, Terry Laurin, Ron Raade, and Pat Duensing. Second place went to Denny Kniola, Marty Tretheway, Gary Witkowski, Jr. and Gary Witkowski, Sr. Don Frank, Jim Sanford, Erik Hudak, and Mark Nate were right behind with a score of 60, good for third place. In fourth place with a score of 61 were Brad Berles, Tom Kirwin, Dave Sonnenberg, and Jim Wcisel. The first place women’s team with a score of 74 went to Ann Miller, Joy Bancroft, Marcia Bowman, and Melissa Kennedy. In second place for the women were Heidi Roberson, Rajean Alexander, Denise Brooks, and Terry Armstrong.

A number of special events enabled many players to take home an assortment of fine prizes, all donated by the community. Long drives were awarded to Peter Ward and Diane Radewald; closest to the pin were George Welch and Trisha Bly; and longest putt went to Dan Hanson.

Several major sponsors, including Entergy Palisades, KitchenAid, Indiana Michigan Power, Express-1, LeValley Buick, Whirlpool, Meredith & Kamp Realtors, Michigan Pizza Hut, Supreme Casting, Abonmarche Consultants, Gary & Karen Campbell, and SW Michigan Anesthesia Care supported the outing. There were many community sponsors as well, with hole sponsors and raffle donors as listed. The golf outing is the major fundraising event for the Lakeshore Excellence Foundation and it would not be possible without the tremendous support of ALL of our players and sponsors. The LEF would like to thank everyone that contributed as your support enables us to continue to Reach Higher!

Fourth Annual Lakeshore Excellence Foundation Golf Outing 2006

A cooler, sunny day welcomed golfers to the Fourth Annual Lakeshore Excellence Foundation Golf Outing. The outing, held each year on the first Monday of August, took place at Lake Michigan Hills GC in Benton Harbor. Next year’s outing will take place on August 6th.

A low score of 62 was good for first place, with Don Frank, Jim Sanford, Erik Hudak, and Brian Kelly leading the pack. Just one stroke back were Chuck Jager, Fred Smith, Mike Gathright, and Bryan Shindeldecker. A score of 63 resulted in a tie for third and fourth place: Jim Moslier, George Welch, Tom Mikel, and John Wodarcyk were awarded third place honors while the Bly family took fourth. The first place women’s team with a score of 71 went to Ann Miller, Jill Law, Brenda McKey, and Joy Bancroft.
